How To Play EuroMillions HotPicks - Launches Friday 26th January 2018

The UK has a new add-on game for EuroMillions. HotPicks will be available from the draw on Friday 26th January.

EuroMillions Hotpicks

The new UK only add-on game is the latest in a series of changes to EuroMillions designed to keep the game interesting to players. It opens up some different options for those interested in more modest prize levels.

How To Play HotPicks?

This short video explains the basics (it's very similar to the Lotto HotPicks game):-

So to play EuroMillions HotPicks you:-

  • Decide how many main balls you want to try and match
  • This can be 1, 2, 3, 4 or all 5 main balls
  • Pick as many numbers, from 1 to 50, as you are trying to match (i.e. play 'Pick 4', you choose 4 numbers)
  • The amount you win is determined by how many balls you pick
  • Prizes range from £10 for 'Pick 1' up to £1 Million for 'Pick 5'

How Much Does It Cost?

Each line for EuroMillions HotPicks costs £1.50 to play.

What Are The Odds & Prizes For EuroMillions HotPicks?

These are your chances of winning for each 'Pick' you can make. The prize amounts are fixed for each prize level.

GameOdds (approx)Prize
Pick 5 Match 51 in 2,118,760£1 Million
Pick 4 Match 41 in 46,060£30,000
Pick 3 Match 31 in 1,960£1,500
Pick 2 Match 21 in 122£100
Pick 1 Match 11 in 10£10

Don't forget, you only win for the number of balls you choose to match, no more and no less.

Important Rules To Understand

Firstly, it's really important to understand that that HotPicks is only played with the Main balls. The Lucky Star balls are ignored, they do not count at all in this game.

Secondly, the prize you win is determined by the number of balls you choose to match. You cannot win more, or less, than that level.

For example, if you play 'Pick 4' but only match 3 numbers, you do not win anything.

Similarly, if you play 'Pick 4' you cannot win a match 5 prize because you only pick 4 numbers. You cannot win the match 5 prize if you don't choose to play 'Pick 5'.

You can however play for more than one prize level if you wish. But you will need to buy a different ticket for each one.

What Days Is It Played?

HotPicks uses the main EuroMillions numbers, which are drawn every Tuesday and Friday. You can play on both of those days.

What About Advance Play?

As with all UK lottery tickets you can buy a ticket to cover as many as 4 weeks of play in advance.
